Collecting Data with Paper Rockets

Each class was given three activity choices. As a class, they choose the activity they wanted to complete to collect data. The choices were Puff Ball Launchers, Race Tracks, or Paper Rockets. They all choose paper rockets!

Here was their Makerspace Challenge: With your partner (group), design a paper rocket that can be launched from our rocket launcher. Test it and measure the distance it travels. Iterate and try again. You may try as many times as you can during the class period, just keep data on each of your launches.

Discussion and Reflection: Back in class, students graphed and analyzed the data they collected. Variables for this experiment were also discussed.
